Operator costs $49 a month on Starter and up to $299 a month on Scale, with a 14-day free trial and no booking fee. Every plan includes the full AI receptionist and a business phone line. The plans differ only in monthly credits, which pay for answered minutes, chats and texts.

Operator is free for 14 days and you do not need a card to start. You add a card once, when you claim your business line, and your plan begins when the trial ends. Cancel before then and nothing is charged. If the trial ends without a plan, new inquiries pause and calls ring your own phone until you pick one.

Credits are the one thing you spend. Every plan comes with a balance each month: 5,000 on Starter, 15,000 on Pro, 40,000 on Scale. Everything Operator does for you draws from that same balance: a minute spent answering your line is 25 credits, a chat or text conversation is 10, a text back to a missed call is 2, a minute spent transferring a caller to your phone is 3. One credit is one cent. So 5,000 credits is about 200 answered minutes, or 500 conversations, or any mix of the two.

No. Operator takes no percentage of your deposits or payments on any plan, and nothing is added to your customer at checkout. The monthly plan is the whole bill, plus any credits you choose to top up.

You can top up any time, and auto-recharge will do it for you if you leave it on. If the balance does reach zero, nothing breaks and nothing is charged by surprise: your calls ring your own phone, the way they did before Operator. The line never goes dead.

Yes. Choose Yearly when you add your card and 2 months are free. Credits still land every month, not all at once, so a yearly plan spends exactly like a monthly one.

Switch plans any time from Settings, prorated from that day. Cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the period you already paid for. Your first charge can be refunded on request within 7 days, no questions asked.

Yes. If a call goes unanswered, Operator can text the caller a link to your booking page so they can see your prices and pick a time. Texts respect opt-outs: anyone who replies STOP is never texted again.

Operator answers the same way at 2 a.m. as at 2 p.m. It can answer questions, hold a time on your calendar and text the booking link, and the call is waiting in your inbox with a summary in the morning.

Yes. Operator is a Canadian company and works for businesses in Canada and the United States, with prices, deposits and your plan in your own currency. Texting follows each country’s consent rules.

Stripe collects the deposit and it settles straight to your own account. You decide the deposit per service, as a percentage or a flat amount, and a refund is one tap.

To collect deposits, yes. Connecting takes a few minutes and the money settles to your own Stripe account, not ours. Calls, quotes and held times work before you connect it.
