Draft for review: plain-language boilerplate that names our real service providers. Have it reviewed by counsel before relying on it.
Who we are
Operator Inc. (“Operator”, “we”) provides a booking and deposit platform for service businesses. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account information you give us: business name, email, and (for merchants) login credentials.
- Booking information from your customers: name, phone number, email, and the details of a booking request.
- Consent records: when a customer verifies their phone or opts in to messages.
- Usage and device data needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
To run your storefront, build quotes, collect deposits, send booking notifications, and provide support. We do not sell your data.
Service providers
We share data only with the processors that make the product work:
- Stripe: payment processing and deposits via Stripe Connect. Card data is handled by Stripe, not stored by us.
- Twilio: phone verification and transactional SMS.
- Resend: transactional email such as receipts and confirmations.
- Google: calendar availability and booking sync, when you connect your calendar.
Messaging consent
We send transactional messages about bookings. Where required (including under Canada’s anti-spam law, CASL), we record express consent and honour opt-outs. You can stop messages at any time.
Your choices
You can access, correct, or delete your information by contacting us. Merchants can export their data or close their account.
